i have wondered about the contradictory way Aquarius is viewed by astrologers!
I wonder if this has to do with the fact that we are moving out of the age of Pisces, generally,
and now aspects of Aquarius that have been latent -- humanitarianism, seeing humanity as one family, the eleventh-house values -- are now coming into play for the new age...and that up until that, the water-bearer's energy was sort of in latency, and thus Aquarius was viewed as detached and unconcerned.
there's a lot to be said for emotions that are present, but suppressed, held in check, hidden but quite there, like a flood of tears that are blinked back...
aquarius is also said to be the "genius of the zodiac." it could be that a relative genius vibration would see that other vibrations just lacked the capacity to accept genius energy for what it was for a time...until this period of time when the age of Pisces was coming to a close, for the next twenty-six thousand years...
